Krieger, 39, is celebrated for her contributions to both club and international soccer. As a member of the U.S. Women’s National Team, she earned two FIFA Women’s World Cup titles and an Olympic medal, becoming a pivotal figure in some of the program’s most iconic moments.

Born in Alexandria, Virginia, and raised in Dumfries, Krieger’s journey to the Hall of Fame began with an impressive youth soccer career. She attended Penn State University, where she earned All-American honors before transitioning to professional play.

Krieger’s professional career included stints in both the National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL) and European leagues. She played for the Washington Spirit, Orlando Pride, and clubs in Germany, such as FFC Frankfurt, where she won the UEFA Women’s Champions League.

Internationally, Krieger amassed 108 caps for the U.S. Women’s National Team, contributing as a dependable defender. Her standout performances helped the team secure the 2015 and 2019 FIFA Women’s World Cups, cementing her legacy as one of the sport’s greats.
