Sean “Diddy” Combs Faces New Sexual Assault Lawsuit from Thalia Graves

CelebritySean "Diddy" Combs Faces New Sexual Assault Lawsuit from Thalia Graves

Music mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs is once again under fire as a new lawsuit accuses him of rape and assault. Thalia Graves has come forward with explosive allegations, claiming that Combs, along with his bodyguard Joseph Sherman, brutally assaulted her at the Bad Boy Records studio in the summer of 2001. Graves alleges that the attack was recorded without her consent and later distributed as pornography.

Graves’ Allegations and the Lawsuit

In the lawsuit, filed with the support of high-profile attorney Gloria Allred, Graves accuses Combs and Sherman of drugging, tying her up, and violently raping her during a late-night recording session in 2001. According to Graves, she was invited to the studio under the pretense of discussing her budding music career but was instead subjected to the assault.

Perhaps the most disturbing element of the case is the claim that the attack was secretly filmed, and the footage was later distributed without Graves’ knowledge as pornography. The lawsuit seeks damages for emotional trauma, violation of privacy, and physical and psychological harm.

Gloria Allred Takes On the Case

Known for representing victims in high-profile sexual assault cases, Gloria Allred has now taken up Graves’ case, calling the allegations against Combs “disturbing and serious.” Allred stated that the lawsuit was filed not only to seek justice for Graves but also to expose a pattern of abuse that has allegedly been hidden within the entertainment industry for decades.

“Women in the industry should not live in fear of violence and exploitation,” Allred said in a press statement. “We will fight for justice and hold those responsible accountable.”

Combs’ Legal Troubles Mount

This is not the first time Combs has faced accusations of sexual misconduct. Earlier allegations have surfaced in recent years, painting a darker picture of one of the music industry’s most prominent figures. While Combs has consistently denied these allegations, Graves’ lawsuit adds a new layer of complexity to his ongoing legal battles.

The lawsuit also names Joseph Sherman, Combs’ bodyguard at the time, as a co-defendant. Graves claims that Sherman was directly involved in the assault, acting on Combs’ orders.

A Long Path to Justice

Graves, who has remained anonymous until now, decided to come forward after years of therapy and support from close friends and family. She revealed that the trauma of the assault deeply affected her personal life and mental health for years, preventing her from pursuing her dreams in the music industry.

Her decision to file the lawsuit nearly two decades after the alleged incident is being seen as part of a broader movement of women coming forward with their stories of abuse at the hands of powerful men in the entertainment world.

What Comes Next?

As the lawsuit makes its way through the legal system, both Combs and Sherman are expected to respond to the allegations. Neither party has issued a statement as of yet. If the case moves to trial, it will likely attract significant media attention, given the prominence of the accused and the severity of the claims.

Graves, with the backing of Allred, is hopeful that her case will bring attention to the exploitation of women in the music industry and hold powerful individuals accountable for their actions.

As yet another sexual assault lawsuit is filed against Sean “Diddy” Combs, the case brought by Thalia Graves is set to add to the growing scrutiny surrounding the music mogul’s legacy. With accusations of rape, illegal filming, and distribution of pornography, this lawsuit could have far-reaching consequences for both Combs and the music industry as a whole.
