Iowa is the home of countless immigrants. all of them came here under essentially the same legality as those in Postville; actually, much less so, as many in Postville were of some Native American stock, while us white folks essentially killed almost all their ancestors so we could call Iowa ours. is is too much to ask that we make some room in the Inn at this time of year — or will we continue to say “No Vacancy” when it comes to room in our hearts??? last I checked, Jesus said that how we treat the least of His Little Ones is how we treat Him. I for one do not want to have to answer for the terrible selfishness shown in our treatment of so-called “illegal immigrants.”
The Golden Rule admonishes us to do unto others as we would have done unto ourselves. It still remains the Golden Rule, even after these two thousand years.
