It's still true, McCain has experience, Obama has a speech that nobody ever recorded and we have to go by his version of what it was. He still voted for plenty of war bills after he was elected. And Biden had it right, he will be "tested" as the young, inexperienced newbie, just as JFK was. Doesn't matter.
