Obama does support finishing the war in Iraq/Afghanstan. He just doesnt support staying in for the next hundred years. John McCain has said himself that he doesnt care if it takes 100 years! How is this "Ending the war?". Obama knows that our focus should be on Afghanastan and what should have been the main concern of American intervention "To capture Bin Laden and hunt down the terrorists responsible for 9-11". No more blank check for the Iraqi government, no more welfare for the people of Iraq, it is time they stand on there own, as we did in 1776, and achieve there own indpendence.

As for this group. I still see nothing Bi-Partisan about them. I see them attacking Obama based on smear ads and lies that have been put out by the McCain campaign. If you would take a closer look at Mr. McCain, you may be surprised.

McCain, a victim of torture, has been admently against torture... until he won the nomination.

McCain also said that Afghanastan should be our main focus... until he won the nomination.

What will he change next?

Steel Medic-
Check out their website...they support both democrats and republicans. They say that they'll support the candidate that supports finishing the mission in Iraq/Afghanistan...Obama doesn't support that mission. Should we blame this group for stating information that Obama puts on his own website? I'll agree that it was the bravery of our troops that made Iraq safer after the surge...however Obama was against the surge. He would rather pull the troops out before their job is finished. Furthermore, I would hardly call this group another swiftboat. Their goal is not to smear Obama...it is to shine the light on the truth in Iraq/Afghanistan. If this means tha Obama is proved incorrect or smeared...perhaps people should look a little closer at Obama.

I am also a veteran of the war in Iraq.
I appreciate what this young man is doing, but come on... "Bi-Partisan"????

They call themselves by partisan and than they launch a commerical against Obama? No commercial asking John McCain "What he meant by 100 years"... being as they want "success" I suppose they want it within the next century... No mention of McCain's comments that "It was the surge that made it possible for Obama to visit Iraq"...hmmm... Not the bravery of our troops??? Not even that made this guys list.

He wishes to grant veterans there voices? My voice is that they need to be a bit fair to both sides of the isle. Nothing sickined me more than hearing about "Swiftboat" while I was deployed in Iraq... Dont be another swiftboat

Randall-
How do you answer "are we safer?"...we haven't been attacked on US soil since we invaded Iraq...so at the very least we aren't less safe. As members of the "global community" (according to Obama) the US has an obligation to protect those that cannot protect themselves and certainly the innocent people found in Saddam's 'killing fields' needed somebody to protect them! As Sherman said, "War is hell" and there will always be innocent people killed. The US dropped leaflets announcing our plans to attack and blasted messages over loudspeakers. What more can we do? Also, remember that the United States has almost unilateraly brought electricity, medical care and schools to hundreds of thousands of Iraqi civilians. And, as a history teacher, I would say calling the invasion of Iraq the biggest foreign policy disaster in history a bit of a stretch...Napoleon had some blunders as did the Germans in WWI and WWII or even the War of 1812.
