Jeb Bush hosts Wisconsin reception

By Lynda Waddington | 02.17.10 | 8:16 am

A former Florida governor rumored to possibly have 2012 presidential aspirations will stump in neighboring Wisconsin next month.

Jeb Bush will host a $250 per person reception, according to National Journal’s Hotline, for Scott Walker, a Republican county executive competing for the governor’s office. Walker hopes to replace Gov. Jim Doyle, a Democrat who is retiring.

The event will be held March 8 at the Pfisher Hotel in Milwaukee. Attendees who wish to pay $1,000 can have their photo taken with Bush, and those who pay $5,000 will be eligible for a 30-minute roundtable discussion with the former Florida executive.

Bush, who is the brother of Pres. George W. Bush and the son of Pres. George H.W. Bush, does not yet have plans to visit the Hawkeye State — a fact that might or might not dispel rumors that he is becoming more politically involved in preparation for a 2012 run.
