U.S. Rep. Steve King, a Kiron Republican who represents Iowa’s 5th District, will join with U.S. House Minority Leader John Boehner, R-Ohio, to headline a Florida tea party event this April.
The event is being organized by Tea Party Patriots Live, an Orlando, Fla.,-based radio show on which King has been a frequent guest, and is being held in conjunction with the April 15 federal tax filing date.
The primary event, a protest of Congress, will be held at 6 p.m. on April 12 in front of the Orlando City Hall. A luncheon is also being planned earlier in the day by a local AM radio station.
General tickets will be sold for $66. Attendees willing to spend an additional $30 can sit at a table with Boehner, King or local radio personality Mike Gallagher.
