This is interesting. I had no idea Bachmann felt this way about King. She's smart. She wouldn't have a chance. She couldn't carry her own state. However, she MAY be an excellent VP running mate for King although both are in the Midwest and a Nominee usually selects a running mate from a different region of the country.

Contrary to what the liberal posters here write, King has everything Palin and Thune don't have. He's voted with the GOP 92.4% of the time and still has the reputation for being "independent". He's leading the repeal of Obamacare in the House and is also the lead Congressman attacking Soetoro-Obama. He is exactly what the liberals fear most--a true Conservative. Unlike THUNE, he voted against TARP and unlike Palin (who is pro-choice though she claims she is pro-life) is the most pro-life member of Congress.

Whether the RINO-controlled GOP leadership will get behind King for President is another matter. King could threaten to bolt to The Constitution Party (which needs a Presidential candidate) if he sees that the GOP isn't going to back him. On the downside. King's PAC has no money. But I believe that if he announces early, the money will flow in.

Right now, the anger is high and Conservatives are going to win big on Nov. 2nd. King can "ride" that wave by announcing he's running for President on November 3rd or thereabouts. John Bolton has already stated he'll be announcing after the election. That announcement is going to open the floodgates as other potential candidates won't want Bolton to get all the media attention.

Ditto W Scott Lincoln!

Bachmann and King would be like two peas in a pod. She is an airhead. He is an embarrassment. If the GOP plans to nominate King in 2012, Obama will get another term.

An Iowan's opinion.
