Charity is wonderful when it comes from you own wealth, but Jesus never said steal stuff from other people and then give it away. . .that is not real charity.

In every biblical example of charity, they gave something that belonged to themselves!

I have a friend who works on one of them.

Perhaps the most well-known, outrageous, recent death panel decision involved Kaiser Permanente Hospital in California a few years back in which a teenage girl was denied a liver transpant because it was “experimental.” (Hey, liver transplants have been done for decades and persons who do not have a functioning liver for whatever reason need a new one.) The insurance company finally relented due to public pressure, but the girl died 2 hours after her transplant was approved. Her's was a death by insurance company, though I'm sure the death certificate said something else. (Isn't it convenient the greedy insurance company ended up looking very charitable; but I have a feeling the transplant was only approved after the girl's death was inevitable.) There are hundreds of similar incidents.

This does not, however, begin to illustrate insureds' deaths where the insurance company has denied coverage because the company has researched a previously insured individual and found the insured suffered from a prior medical condition as trivial as acne, migraine, etc., but because they now have breast cancer or some other morbid condition, they are no longer covered because it was the insurance company's mistake to give them insurance in the first place because of the prior condition.

Insurance companies steal 31 cents out of every healthcare dollar for themselves. The only service they provide for that 31 cents is to pass patients' payments through to real healthcare providers. They provide no healthcare themselves.

The USA is one of just a handfull of countries that have insurance companies involved in healthcare at all: those countries prohibit the insurance company (by law) from realizing a profit on their healthcare activities, much less 31 cents out of every dollar.

Think of what we could have if all healthcare dollars went toward healthcare.
