		<description>&lt;strong&gt;I am pleased to see a higher priority for juvenile justice.&lt;/strong&gt; I appreciate the efforts this past year on the part of Judge Ternus and the legislature to increase the priority of the juvenile justice system. &lt;p&gt;&lt;br&gt;We still have too many juveniles held in juvenile detention centers in my opinion. &lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;I think we need to review the policy of sentencing juveniles to life in prison without parole because the threat to public safety posed by an individual can depend on age. I would like to see a periodic review of such cases to see if release on parole for life&#160; is an acceptable alternative.&lt;/br&gt;&lt;/p&gt;</description>
