State Supreme court will win in the end. Executive powers can not be used this way. It violates the constitution.

Bush and Cheney were a slam dunk for impeachment for Torture
since Torture is a capital violation of US Federal Anti-Torture Laws
and our state and federal Democrats Did Nothing!

They won't impeach VP either.

And they won't Prosecute Bush, Cheney or torture loving Lawyers either.
Probably.

Sad. Perhaps we can make it happen.
Pressure our State and Congressional Democrats to Prosecute the Torturers.

If an executive order like that was issued, and a county chose to not issue a license to a same-sex couple, could that county be sued for discrimination (and possibly lose a lot of money)? Also, if a county issued a license to a same-sex couple in violation of such an executive order, what kind of trouble could the county get into then? Everyone's budgets are very tight. The last thing they need is the threat of legal trouble like this.

Jeez, what does this gentleman have against civil marriages?
Doesn't he realize we have freedom of and from religion in our great country.
Kudos to New England and Iowa, where I'm very busy officiating for couples who are coming to CT to wed from around the country because they can't do so in their own home states just yet.
