I should mention that this 'copy' was good enough for Uncle Sam when I was enlisting (and reenlisting several subsequent times) in the Army.<br>So, am I a citizen (therefore eligible to hold office) despite not having my original birth certificate, or are you and AristotleTheHun (see below) perhaps siblings? That since she was under the age of 18 that he could not be a natural born citizen if she gave birth to him abroad. I find that to be silly. I don't care what age a woman is when she gives birth, if she is a citizen of the U.S. then her child is a citizen as well. So to me, I don't care if Barack was born in Kenya and then Hawaii issued a birth certificate days or weeks later, I still believe that he is a natural born citizen because of his mother's citizenship.
