There is absolutely nothing stopping a homosexual from getting married - they just can't 'marry' someone of the same sex which would be something altogether different than marriage, you see.

Peggy, only a truly stupid person would say that homosexuals have never been denied the right to marry. Homophobes are protesting the possibility of gay marriage all the time…taking away time our legislature and courts could better spend on real issues. That you think I, or any rational person, would accept your statement as anywhere close to fact is pathetic at best, and fits in with the Limbaugh/Coulter/O'Reilly mindset your ilk seem to share.
That you cannot defend your own comments is telling. That you cannot answer simple questions posed to you is telling, too.

Why else would you deny a civil right to a homosexual? certainly isn't out of love or even tolerance.
Hatred of the Catholic Church? Where exactly did you get the idea that criticism=hatred?
What particular version/translation of 1 Corinthians 6:9-12? Some English language versions specifically denounce homosexuality, others do not. What does the original language say, and according to whose translation?

Sure I enjoy insightful observations. Personally, I don't support everything the Catholic Workers folks...they're a bit radical for me...but I do support their exercising their rights. Your link was to an article that had nothing to do with the sit-in, Gaza, etc...a red herring, as it were.

That there are Catholics that don't agree with the all aspects of Catholic dogma and doctrine should be no surprise. OK, we get it...you don't like gays and you don't like abortion...two things Jesus never said anything about (which calls into question your alleged 'Christianity', or following the teachings of Christ). Where do you stand on the sale of indulgences, molestation of children by clergy (and cover ups by more senior clergy), and many of the other dreadful things done in the name of the Catholic Church? I'll bet you have a different stance than those who engaged in these practices...and I'd further bet you're closer to the CW folks than you are to the perverted priests, corrupt popes, grand inquisitors, etc. Then again, I could be wrong.

How did an article on a sit-in regarding Gaza at a Democratic US Senator's office by a small handful of Catholics morph through gay-hate rants then turn in to a link to anti-abortion rhetoric from Iowa's far-right whack-job US Representative from Iowa's west coast?
